Stok Kangri at an elevation of 20,172 feet is the highest mountain in the Stok Range in Ladakh of northwest India. The peak is located in the Hemis National Park, 12 km southwest of the trailhead at 3610 mt in the village of Stok and 24 km southwest of the Ladakhi capital of Leh. Despite its altitude, Stok Kangri is highly accessible in all section of adventure lover as no technical experience is required to scale the peak after July. It gives you a real opportunity to climb a 6150 mt peak in less than a week, which is not possible in any other part of the world.
The shortest and most popular approach to scale the peak is ascends through the Stok valley, along the Stok Chu. From the summit, you can have a great view of Zansker and the Indus Valley and Pakistani mountain ranges are also visible from the top.
